Stiffer hulls with new fabrics
Kanghua boats have long been renowned for the stiffness of their carbon hulls, thanks to their use of woven carbon fabrics. The new-generation boats take this a step further.
Where traditionally the carbon fibres run the length of the hull and at 90 degrees around the hull, the new-generation boats use redesigned high-strength carbon that runs around the hull at 45 degrees, further increasing stiffness and improving both toughness and impact resistance.
New Generation Mould -- Collaboration with Sykes R&D Team
This new design is narrower and shorter, with fine entry angles at the bow that minimize bow wave formation. It boasts improved stability and low drag at all speeds. The development process utilizes advanced mathematical modeling techniques such as FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics). The designs are then rigorously tested both on the water and in-house.

- The Mould 139 has become the preferred choice for Australia’s national training center men, continuing to achieve impressive results since its introduction.
Carbon Bow Mount Rigger
Using prepreg carbon fibre with an advanced bladder moulding technique creates a single seamless rigger with zero joins. The new carbon rowing and sculling wing riggers incorporate unparalleled rigidity and structural integrity, thanks to Kanghua’s considerable investment in this area, in terms of both time and money – namely a $200,000 high-pressure moulding press that enables the wings to be constructed in one piece and ensures 100% manufacturing consistency.
Aluminum riggers can be upgraded to carbon riggers of all the grade.
Premium Rowing Shoes
The new-generation boats, complete with new shoes, will be available across all the Kanghua ranges. The KX and Spirit ranges, meanwhile, are fitted with the latest more comfortable premium-grade dynamic shoes which maximise your comfort
